Hubbard Street’s Spring Series
will be here in just ten short days.

Classical techniques.
Contemporary ideas.
One weekend only.

Our specially curated, unique program of favorites and premieres is almost here. Weaving classical artistry with contemporary choreography and great music spanning nearly 300 years, our Spring Series is a multilayered exploration of dance today.

A Picture of You Falling, by Crystal Pite
HUBBARD STREET PREMIERE
“Pite’s choreography is driven by a relentless curiosity. What lies beneath, she asks. What is the story that our bodies tell? If the question is unanswerable, the asking of it is unforgettable.”
—Luke Jennings, The Guardian (London)

I am Mister B, by Gustavo Ramírez Sansano
WORLD PREMIERE
“The Chicago press often praise[s] Mr. Sansano for his audacious work, and justifiably so.”
—Siobhan Burke, The New York Times

Cloudless, by Resident Choreographer
Alejandro Cerrudo
“Tender and intimate, without being soft and sweet.”
—Catherine L. Tully, 4dancers

Sarabande + Falling Angels, by Jiří Kylián
ACCOMPANIED LIVE BY THIRD COAST PERCUSSION
“Hubbard Street’s renditions of Kylián are not to be missed.”
Chicago Stage Standard

During our 2015 Youth Summer Camps,
the more you dance, the more you save.

Hubbard Street’s Youth Summer Camps offer creative, technique-focused and performance opportunities all summer long.

Little Movers Camp, for ages 4–6, gives our littlest dancers a full week of fun to build gross motor skills, musicality and kinesthetic confidence.

Artistic Connections Camp and Dance Explorers Camp, for ages 6–11, give students a chance to create, explore and perform each day.

Technique Workshop Series and Hip-Hop Camp, for ages 7–16, allow dancers to focus on their favorite techniques, through intensive study of ballet, jazz, modern and hip-hop — available “à la carte” or in any combination.

Intensive I Preparatory Summer Intensive is ideal for serious dancers who are working towards advanced and pre-professional course work. Click here for details about our required placement class, which ensures enrollment in the appropriate Intensive.
