Spring is here!

Spring arrived on Tuesday, March 20.  Note that the Frost Date for Lea County is April 15.

Dr. Dirt

Ya’ll need to come and see this exciting In the Dark exhibit. Bring your kids and grandchildren, even the deep down little kid in you will connect to the exhibit displays that bring back childhood memories.

Helen, from West Texas, Seminole, THANK YOU for the phone call and conversation about this exhibit and what Dr. Dirt was adding to the displays, especially the “living soil profile series”. I greatly enjoyed that one and learned a lot. Thank you for your comments and coming to see the “In the Dark” exhibit too. Dr. Dirt will be adding more information along the way.

Question: What are some other interesting facts about worms in the soil, my yard and garden?

Dr. Dirt is here to answer your gardening questions! If you have any questions submit them to hortsociety16@gmail.com.  Also, check out his new blog where all his questions and answers will be easily accessible.

It may be early spring, but the Western Heritage Gardens behind the Museum are well on their way to full bloom.  As you can see, many spring plants are thriving already.  If you're interested in adopting a bed, please email hortsociety16@gmail.com.

Please email your photos of flowers and other gardening efforts to hortsociety16@gmail.com. We'd really like to give kudos to your hard work in the newsletter and on our Society Facebook page.
