Intensives are open to students in Levels 4 through Pre-Professional (or ages 11+ by placement). Students may sign-up for the session or register by day. Students outside of Colorado Ballet Academy are welcome and encouraged to register for these intensives. Please contact the Academy for placement at academy@coloradoballet.org.
Keep in shape for the holidays with three days of favorite classes. These concentrated classes are designed to help students maintain all they have accomplished this semester. Each day students will participate in concentrated ballet technique, variations and jazz to help you relax before diving into your final exams and holiday fun!
Start the New Year off on a good foot by getting back in shape with our New Year’s Resolution two-day intensive. This intensive is designed to give students a leg up on their technique for the year. Classes will focus on placement, safe strengthening and stamina for a healthy start to the year.
Colorado Ballet Academy students are invited to attend our Summer Intensive and Young Dancer Workshop this summer. Students of Colorado Ballet Academy are not required to audition, but we highly recommend attending one of the first two local audition dates to secure your placement.
Auditions will be held at Colorado Ballet Academy on January 13, February 17 and March 10. Current students wanting to register for auditions should send an email to academy@coloradoballet.org.
Parents with dancers who are in Levels 1 through Pre-Professional are asked to attend our Giselle production meeting in the Black Box Theater at the Armstrong Center for Dance. We will be discussing casting, schedule and costume requirements as well as answering any questions parents have about the upcoming production.
Colorado Ballet Academy is proud to offer a variety of diverse Summer Camps for boys and girls ages 3-4, 5-6, and 7-9 for this upcoming summer. Details and registration will be available online in February.

If you would like to order additional uniforms please place your order no later than December 15.
Throughout the semester we have accumulated many lost water bottles, cover-ups, shoes and other dancer belongings at our Lost and Found table by the vending machines. Please take a moment over the next week to look through these items to see if any of them belong to you. Anything not picked up by winter break will be donated to a local charity.
Regularly scheduled classes will not take place on the following dates:

This month, we were treated to an amazing piece choreographed by Daniel Zook for the Academy's Pre-Professional dancers. The piece featured the creative use of lighting and technology fused together to give the dancers a voice in their piece. Thank you to all of the dancers and choreographer for their hard work!
Our January Saturday Soirée will feature two works choreographed by Colorado Ballet Academy Instructors Edgar Page (Pre-Pro A) and Robert Sher-Machherndl (Pre-Pro B). Tickets are on sale now on the Academy performance page.
Follow the yellow brick road to this exciting premiere of The Wizard of Oz, featuring new sets, costumes and special effects—don't miss this magical ballet! Choreography by Septime Webre and music by Matthew Pierce, performed live by the Colorado Ballet Orchestra.
All students enrolled in Levels 1 through Pre-Professional Division will be performing Giselle on May 25 at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Colorado Ballet Academy is thrilled to be able to teach the art of ballet to our students through this classical masterpiece and perform in Denver’s most treasured theater!
