Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto • NOV 22–24 • Boettcher Concert Hall



Violinist Angelo Xiang Yu returns to Denver for Tchaikovsky’s colorful Violin Concerto — a piece initially considered so difficult that the premiere was delayed after Tchaikovsky’s first two soloists declined the invitation. The program begins with Verdi’s Overture to La forza del destino, while Jennifer Higdon’s Concerto for Orchestra concludes the evening with an instrumental panoply that will leave you spellbound.

Changing the Future of Music Education in Denver

October 3-4, the Denver Young Artists Orchestra, Colorado Symphony, and El Sistema Colorado hosted the first-ever Denver Music Education Convening.Thirty-nine organizations, including Denver Public Schools, Bonfils-Stanton Foundation, SCFD, universities, and numerous non-profit organizations, met with the goal of increasing equity, diversity, and inclusivity for youth music education.
