In our Youth Dance Program studios at the Hubbard Street Dance Center, professional faculty provide a comprehensive approach, considering each dancer’s individual needs. Through age-appropriate goals, improvisation, dance vocabulary and technique, students study all aspects of dance, reach progressive skill levels and learn new ways to communicate their ideas. Dancers improvise, engage in creative problem-solving, use their imaginations and grow in cognitive, social and emotional ways.

Join us in an encouraging, creative environment
where everyone is welcome!

Auditions begin shortly for our Summer Intensive programs in Chicago.

 You’re not like other dancers.
Get unique at Hubbard Street.

Our Summer Intensives are rigorous training programs designed for motivated dancers ages 12–17, and aspiring pre-professional and early-career dancers ages 14–24. Attendees take daily classes in ballet and other techniques, plus choreography progressively integrated through four programs offered in Chicago from June to August.

Hubbard Street’s Summer Intensives offer unique opportunities for committed dancers to refine their skills in multiple forms, broaden their dance vocabularies, and explore the latest in contemporary movement with top artists in the field. Entry requirements and time commitments vary for our four Intensive programs; click here to visit our website and learn more about the Intensive that’s best for you.

Dancers accepted following any 2015 audition are qualified to attend their age group’s Intensive program.
