Dear Parents & Students,

The final days of summer are here. I hope everyone is looking forward to the start of the new school year. Classes begin at Kansas City Ballet School on September 3, 2013.

Registration is well underway. If you have not registered your child, I encourage you to do so quickly. Classes fill on a first come first serve basis. I invite you to attend one of our Open Houses this month at either location. At the parent meeting during the Open Houses we will welcome our Ballet Master, James Jordan, to provide important information for parents with students who are eligible and plan to audition for The Nutcracker. Please take a look at our detailed schedule for our Open Houses below.   

This year is going to be very exciting for us here at Kansas City Ballet as we welcome our new Artistic Director Mr. Devon Carney. Come kick off the celebration with us at KC Dance Day at the Bolender Center on Saturday, August 24. Activities include free dance classes for all ages, performances by local dance companies and a variety of ethnic dance companies, the Kansas City Youth Ballet and an open rehearsal with the Kansas City Ballet Company. This will be a fun day spent observing and trying different dance disciplines. For more details and to pre-register for this free event, please visit our website.

DON'T FORGET - Fall Registration

Just a reminder that fall registration has begun. We invite you to join us at our Open House at either location in August, where you can meet the staff and sit in on a parent meeting, which will also include information on The Nutcracker auditions. We encourage you to register as soon as possible, as class spots fill quickly. Click here to download the registration forms.

FREE Event: KC Dance Day
Saturday, August 24  at the Bolender Center

Don't miss the 3rd annual KC Dance Day at the Bolender Center on Saturday, August 24! A FREE event, enjoy an entire day of dance classes for both adults and children and performances by local world dance groups and other local dance companies. The day will conclude with an open rehearsal by company dancers from Kansas City Ballet!

Pre-registration is encouraged and available online at kcballet.org.

KCBS Academy students receive a FREE season subscription with the purchase of an adult subscription. (Additional children under 21 receive a half-price subscription.)
