A compelling mix of artists from the Asian and Western percussion traditions performing in varying combinations, Masters of Percussion began in 1994 and the project has continued to evolve, now celebrating its 20th year of existence. Hussain credits his father Alla Rakha, India’s greatest 20th century tabla master, with encouraging him to present various Indian rhythmic traditions to international audiences.
