Aida performances

The grandest love story is now more accessible than ever, with three nighttime performances and a Sunday matinée. The adjusted performance schedule is a perfect opportunity for parents to enjoy the opera with their kids while still getting home at a family-friendly hour, or out-of-town opera enthusiasts to enjoy the opera without spending the night in Edmonton. Tickets are available for all performances at Tix on the Square, at 780.429.1000, online, or at select Safeways across Alberta.

Carl Tanner has sung in opera houses around the world, but he's definitely taken the long road to get there. The tenor grew up in Arlington, Virginia, listening to country music and singing in his school choir before he graduated and became a truck driver and a bounty hunter. His career started when he moved to New York and was heard, by chance, by the head of the Santa Fe Opera. Now, Tanner is our Radamès in the first production of the Edmonton Opera's 49th season.
