THE PERFECT DATE FOR VALENTINE'S DAY

"THE GREATEST CHRISTINE WE EVER HAD"

- Andrew Lloyd Webber - Phantom of the Opera

BROADWAY'S
SIERRA BOGGESS
IN CONCERT

Boettcher Concert Hall

FEB 13-14

Denver native and Colorado Children's Chorale alumnus Sierra Boggess is best known for her Broadway debut originating the role of Ariel in the 2007 The Little Mermaid. Boggess has also been a Broadway mainstay for the last decade performing in Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera, Ever After, and other musicals.  Musical theatre legend Andrew Lloyd Webber, recently declared Boggess as "...the greatest Christine we ever had..." (the leading role from Broadway's The Phantom of the Opera). It's easy to hear why: Her enchanting, soaring vocals hit all of the right notes. For this Valentine's Day weekend concert, Boggess will sing a number of the tunes that made her a superstar, accompanied by the orchestra and Colorado Children's Chorale.

Boettcher Concert Hall

The Bard of Avon inspired some of the world’s greatest music for the stage and concert hall. CARNIVAL OF THE ANIMALS AND THE STORY OF BABAR

Boettcher Concert Hall

This performance deftly introduces little ones to the joys of the orchestra with Carnival of the Animals, one of the best-known pieces by French composer Camille Saint-Saëns, with each movement depicting a different animal from the royal lion to the graceful swan. In The Story of Babar, Jean de Brunhoff’s popular children’s story of one little elephant’s epic rise from rags to riches is eloquently set to music by Francis Poulenc, truly a fantastic family experience for all ages.
