Tonight's performance of Macbeth moves due to air-quality concerns

Dear Ticket Holder,

Due to forecasted unhealthy levels of smoke in the air from nearby wildfires, we have decided to move tonight's (Sunday, July 28) performance of Macbeth to Mountain Avenue Theatre at Ashland High School (201 S. Mountain Ave., Ashland). Tonight's air quality readings are expected to be in an unhealthy zone, which puts performers and audience members at risk in the outdoor Allen Elizabethan Theatre. Further information around air quality and OSF’s procedures and policies is available at osfashland.org/AirQuality.

The Mountain Avenue Theatre does not seat as many ticket holders as the Allen Elizabethan Theatre. Please contact the Box Office by phone at 800-219-8161 or in person at 15 South Pioneer Street if you would like to try to get a seat at the Mountain Avenue Theatre. We also have a limited number of seats available to tonight’s indoor shows: Hairspray—The Broadway Musical in the Angus Bowmer Theatre and Between Two Knees in the Thomas Theatre.

Please note: You will NOT be able to get tickets at the door of the theatre. In order to be reseated in the Mountain Avenue Theatre, you MUST contact the box office.

Tonight’s performance will begin at 8:00 p.m. You are welcome to stay in the air-conditioned waiting area, which opens at 7:00 p.m. until you can enter the theatre.

A map and directions to the Mountain Avenue Theatre are included below. Mountain Avenue Theatre is a fully equipped theatre with cushioned seats and air conditioning.

Please read the following information carefully:

Concessions will be available at the Mountain Avenue Theatre beginning at 7:00 p.m., and a pop-up Tudor Guild gift shop will be onsite at that time as well. You may preorder Concessions items for intermission before the show, and bottled water and beverages in OSF commemorative cups will be allowed inside the theatre. There will be no refunds, exchanges or vouchers after attending an alternate performance.

The alternative performances at the Mountain Avenue Theatre are fully staged and produced versions of the original productions. Our company has prepared and rehearsed in the Mountain Avenue Theatre.

If you choose not to join us for the alternate performance, please note that you have seven days to do one of the following (the OSF box office will be busy this evening, so please consider waiting to contact them if you do not wish to exchange into one of tonight’s performances):

Exchange: Contact the Box Office to exchange your tickets for another performance or for a return visit later in the season (subject to ticket availability). All exchanges are based on the value of your original tickets.

Donate*: Show your support for the great work across all of our stages at OSF and donate the value of the tickets back to the Festival, which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Ticket Voucher: Receive a ticket voucher for the original value of the performance tickets affected by the weather. This voucher is good for use until October 31, 2020.

Refund: If you are unable to return this season or next, we are happy to provide you with a refund* for the tickets to the affected performance.

Please call or stop by the Box Office, at 800-219-8161 or 15 South Pioneer Street, to make arrangements, and be sure to keep your ticket stub to receive a voucher, refund or exchange.

Thank you for your understanding.

*OSF is a nonprofit organization. Ticket donations are vital in helping OSF sustain operations and education programming during challenging climate conditions. Patrons who choose to donate the value of their tickets will be provided with a receipt for tax purposes.
