A World Stage

The Royal Opera House Foundation, Decanter Magazine and Christie’s invite you to join some of the greatest names in wine and opera for a unique evening in aid of The Royal Opera House Foundation on Tuesday 13 March 2012.

This very special evening of world class wine and opera will take place against the
dramatic backdrop of the Paul Hamlyn Hall, and play host to some very special
artists. Christine Rice, Ekaterina Siurina and Matthew Rose will give a recital accompanied by members of the Royal Opera Chorus led by Renato Balsadonna, Chorus Director. Further major artists to be confirmed nearer the time.

The dinner features some of the world’s greatest wines presented by the estates’
principals. They have been brought together by Decanter Magazine’s Publishing
Director, Sarah Kemp. The dinner will be followed by a fantastic charity auction
conducted by Christie’s David Elswood and Anthony Hanson MW, offering
exceptional wine lots and a fabulous range of Royal Opera House experiences.

The proceeds from this evening will benefit The Royal Opera House Foundation, the
registered charity which supports every aspect of the work of the Royal Opera House,
including the nurturing of emerging artistic talent through our Young Artist Programme,
creating new opera and ballet, maintaining our world-class technical facilities, improving our sustainability, and increasing our reach to people of all ages and backgrounds.
