Peek behind the scenes of our Season 37 photo shoot.

As the excitement for Season 37 continues to build, Hubbard Street Dancers are hard at work in the studio, fine-tuning the fast-paced movement of Kyle Abraham’s brand new work, Counterpoint, and yukking it up with the quick-witted writers of The Second City. Amidst all the diligent practice refining sublime choreography and loopy comedy, however, the company came together for a glamorous photo shoot to fill our 2014–15 season with beautiful images — click here and see for yourself.

Our day spent snapping pictures spanned styles and genres and, as a subscriber, you too will go on a year-long journey through diverse dance experiences. We can’t wait to share the laughter, athleticism and insight of Season 37 with you and we don’t want you to miss a minute of it — so subscribe today.

The dancing continues September 15.

We’re trying to ignore it, too, but summer is starting to wind down and with shorter days and new school supplies comes a fresh slate of Hubbard Street Youth Dance Program classes. Registration is now open for all Fall Session and year-long offerings for 2014–15.

This year’s variety is more robust than ever, with classes for ages 18 months to 16 years, including Creative Movement for our youngest movers; and ballet, jazz, pointe, modern, hip-hop, tap, yoga, musical theater and improvisation for ages 7 to 16.

Feeling curious?
Visit our Youth Dance Program Open House on Saturday, September 6, during which all are welcome to test-drive special sampler classes for free from 11 am to 3 pm. There’s no registration required — just walk in and start movin’!

Get on your marks, set a phone alarm, text your friends and choose your dates because, if you haven’t already subscribed, this will be your first chance to grab all the remaining seats for June’s All-Cerrudo Celebration, our company’s debut in choreography by Crystal Pite, Princess Grace Awards: New Works at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and, of course, our much-anticipated collaboration with The Second City kicking it all off this October.

The countdown begins…

...but if you can’t wait another minute you can always
