- Make sure your member status is current with the Smithsonian Associates for 2016.
- Save time by pre-registering your campers or confirming their information if you registered them for previous Summer Camps. Please note: you must enter camper information before you may register.

Registration Begins on Thurs., Jan. 28 at 9 AM

Early Registration*
If you support the Smithsonian Associates at the
Contributor level ($300) or higher, you are eligible for early registration on Tues., Jan. 26 at 9 AM. For more information about becoming one of our supporters, click here or call a Donor Services representative at 202-633-3030 (M-F, 9-5).
*Please Note: At the time of registration, your membership must be current for the year 2016-2017. This benefit applies only to supporters of the Smithsonian Associates at the Contributor level ($300) or higher and does not apply to supporters of other Smithsonian organizations. If your membership expires before this August (the end of Summer Camp 2016), you will need to renew your membership in order to be eligible for advance registration. Renew now>>

General Information About Camps
- Most camps are one week long and campers may register for one or more sessions.
- Sessions are offered for young people entering kindergarten through 9th grade.
- Camp size is 16 to 21 children while maintaining a camper-to instructor ratio of 4:1.
- Campers provide their own transportation to the Mall.
- Sessions include a supervised brown-bag lunch hour.
- REFUND POLICY: A 75% refund will be issued if notification is received by the registration office by email, fax, or U.S. mail at least four weeks before the start of the camp. No refunds or changes will be made thereafter. Camps are nontransferable.

Activities Before and After Camp
Drop off campers early to enjoy organized activities and a light snack. Or let your child stay after the day's session for organized games, activities, and outside playtime (weather permitting).
Back By Popular Demand:
Camps for Kindergarteners
Smithsonian Summer Camp offers a weekly program specifically designed to meet the developmental needs of kindergarten students. These camps are structured for children ages 5 to 6 who are entering kindergarten or first grade in fall 2016. Mornings include an outing to a Smithsonian museum or garden, followed by an afternoon of projects or a relaxing story time, all leading up to a Friday exhibit or performance for friends and family.
New This Year:
Two-week intensive camps offer hands-on explorations of science and digital arts, as well as opportunities to meet Smithsonian experts.
