The Witte’s 6th Annual Trailblazers Luncheon will be held on April 11th, just after the opening of the New Witte, and will highlight this exciting time in the museum’s history. The event will honor Susan Naylor for her unparalleled support of the Witte Transformation. The Trailblazers luncheon brings together 600 business and community leaders and raises over $100,000 for the museum.

Since the late 1800’s, dinosaur and other fossil discoveries have been an essential part of Texas science and culture. Over 36 different species of dinosaur are known from Texas, with new ones being discovered every year. Join Dr. Thomas Adams, Curator of Paleontology and Geology, at the Witte Museum as he discusses the history of paleontology and dinosaurs in Texas.

The exhibition celebrates the unique land, water and sky of Texas, which serve as a permanent theme at the Witte. From rolling prairies filled with wild flowers to starry skies that spark the imagination, Natural Beauty will spark the imagination with a stunning selection of the Witte’s collection of Order of the Alamo coronation robes and gowns.

Sunday Jazz at the Witte

Sunday Jazz is back for another exciting season at the Witte Museum. Join us for the 13th Season in the recently opened New Witte campus for a relaxing afternoon listening to jazz under the pecan trees of the Will Smith Amphitheater. Food and beverages are available for purchase from Picante Grill.
