Sanjay Subrahmanyan
Leading Carnatic vocalist Sanjay Subrahmanyan joins GemArts at Sage Gateshead for another Riverside Ragas concert. His music mixes the high authority and purity of tradition, with the creativity of an exceptionally gifted artist.
Accompanying musicians, S. Varadarajan on Violin and Neyveli Venkatesh on Mridangam.

Deepa Nair Rasiya
Deepa pays tribute to the poetry of Sufi mystics of the subcontinent,
across a range of styles of Indian music including classical,
semi-classical, folk and contemporary.
Accompanying musicians Manjeet Singh Rasiya on Tabla, Surjeet Singh Aulakh on Sarangi, Siddharth Singh on Guitar, and Nimrita Kaur Rasiya on keys and support vocals.

Shubhendra Rao & Saskia Rao-de Haas
A protégé of legendary Maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar, Shubhendra is an unmatched master of the sitar. Saskia Rao-de Haas is a brilliant cellist from the Netherlands, a pioneer who introduced her Indian cello to North Indian classical music. Their seemingly effortless musical communication and improvisation is a joyful experience.
