SEASON 5 BEGINS THIS WEEK!
Guitar legend Pat Metheny opens Season 5 with his latest game-changing ensemble. The new quartet continues Metheny’s groundbreaking run with Mexican-born drummer Antonio Sánchez, who recently received global praise for his percussion-driven score for 2015’s Academy Award-winning film Birdman. When Linda Oh’s not leading her own band, the Malaysian-born, Australian-raised bassist works with heavyweights like Joe Lovano and Dave Douglas. And 35-year-old British pianist Gwilym Simcock is one of Europe’s most acclaimed and influential young musicians.
During Opening Week, all SFJAZZ Members are welcome to stop by the upper lobby to pick up their SFJAZZ gift, enjoy a glass of champagne, and special discounts.
