Hello Friend

Kansas City Ballet

The Academy

Hello KCBS Families,

Grace Holmes

I hope that everyone had a productive and restful summer!

As we get closer to the start of our new school year, we ask that families take a moment to review the Student Policy Handbook for changes in our School structure and dress code. New families and young students should also review etiquette information on our website: kcballet.org/kcbsparentpage

Information about eligibility for The Wizard of Oz auditions on August 21 and 22 has been announced. If your student is eligible to audition, make sure you are registered in the Academy by August 10. Please visit the kcballet.org/studentperformer page for details of the audition and rehearsal requirements.

Enrollment is open! Several classes are full, so get your registration in as soon as possible! We hope you will consider subscribing to Kansas City Ballet company performances at the Kauffman Center. All Academy families who purchase an adult subscription will also receive a student subscription for free. This is a great way to support your child’s artistic education and enjoyment.

FREE KC Dance Day is coming up on August 25th, 9:00am-6:00pm at the Bolender Center. Check the schedule and register online in advance. It is a perfect opportunity to get the whole family up and dancing. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at both the Bolender Center and our Johnson County Campus in the next few weeks!

Yours,

Grace Holmes
Kansas City Ballet School Director
