Yesterday's Food & Wine Classic was, without question, the best one yet.  On behalf of my colleagues and the nearly 250,000 patrons we serve every year, many thanks to everyone who attended. Through sponsorships, ticket sales, and passionate bidding at our live and silent auctions  

WE RAISED OVER $375,000

This generosity will support our astonishing, inspiring arts and education outreach programs and help maintain our historic Villa and grounds.

As I said in my remarks last night: "the people who give you their food give you their heart."  We are so grateful to each and every generous and passionate member of our Montalvo family--patrons, chefs, vintners, and more--who opened their hearts and made this event a success.

Three hearty cheers for our stellar event committee, Karen Bria (Winery Chair), Marcia Hansen, Deb Stolle, and Sue Mueller, for their brilliant work. And a special shout-out to Master Sommelier Randall Bertao, who so graciously and expertly presided over the private cellar tasting at our VIP reception on Charmaine's Garden Terrace.
