Watch a recorded production of Macbeth and listen to the Folger audio editions of seven Shakespeare plays. |  View in browser

Dear Folger Community and Friends:

We invite you to spend some time with Shakespeare while you're homebound.

In support of learning and enjoyment, we're sharing resources for watching and listening to Shakespeare's plays, together with our publishing partner Simon & Schuster.

Macbeth Videos

Full recorded performance of Folger Theatre's 2008 Macbeth, conceived and directed by Teller (of Penn & Teller) and Aaron Posner, with eight special features, streaming on YouTube

Audio Recordings

Full-cast audio recordings, produced by Folger Theatre, of seven Shakespeare plays: Hamlet, Julius Caesar, Macbeth, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Othello, Richard III, and Romeo and Juliet

These videos and audio recordings will be available for free through July 1, 2020, complementing the full text of Shakespeare's plays on the Folger Shakespeare site, along with textual notes, scene summaries, and commentary.

With resources like these, added to the ones we shared last week, and with weekly webinars for educators beginning today, we're committed to supporting students, teachers, and lifelong learners through this difficult time.

Sincerely,

Michael Witmore
Director
Folger Shakespeare Library
